The climax of the Holy Week Celebration in our town is during the Good Friday. After the Seven Last Words, at 3 PM is the liturgy of Lord's Passion and Death. After the liturgy is the Estacion Heneral. Estacion Heneral or the 'Libut', is the procession of different religious statues depicting the burial of Jesus Christ. Here in Santa Catalina, there are various stations per barangay, which are called 'Abong-Abong'. Abong-abong means temporary shelter for Ilocanos. Each stations is being decorated and arranged to depict some selected events during the passion of Christ. In older days, these abong-abong are adorned by religous statues as well as paintings of the events of the last days of Jesus Christ.
